Licensee SureFlap Ltd has used OnTune^TM to produce a pet door that works with a cat's standard microchip implant. SureFlap^TM solves the problem of unwanted visitors into a home, providing controlled access without the need for a collar or tag that can get lost or snagged.

The performance gains afforded by OnTune^TM allow SureFlap^TM to achieve excellent range, sufficient to read standard microchip implants over the normal variation in animal approach. 

Importantly, SureFlap^TM is battery powered, yielding in excess of 6-months operation from 4xAA batteries. This is achieved through a the use of a very high efficiency antenna whilst avoiding the conventional tuning problems.

SureFlap^TM is currently on sale through Animalcare, the UK's leading microchipping orgainisation. Worldwide rollout is planned for later in 2008.
